The core appeal of a lotion pump lies in its ingenious pressure compensation mechanism, which transforms the static liquid inside the bottle into a controlled, directional flow through physical compression. The fundamental logic of this device is the creation of a one-way gas-liquid exchange system: when the pump head is pressed, the pressure in the internal piston chamber instantly increases, causing the one-way valve to close and forcing the liquid to find an exit; when the finger is released, the spring's restoring force creates a momentary vacuum in the chamber, and atmospheric pressure pushes the liquid from the bottom of the container into the compensation space.
